Radishes aren't fussy. Provide them with a warm, moist environment (a wet paper towel in an egg carton works just fine) and away they grow. In just a day the seeds will sprout. By the end of the week you'll get plants that are as tall as 5 cm. Because radishes grow so fast, tropisms are easy to observe. See how the roots grow toward water; how the leaves tilt toward light; how the stems bend against gravity. Graph growth rates on a sigma curve. Eat a salad direct from the sun.
