We've brought our popular TOPScopes and hand lenses together into one convenient kit. You'll get a 3X hand lens, plus a 25X lens and a 36X lens, along with simple materials and easy instructions to let your students build their own nifty, thrifty TOPScopes!
These little TOPScopes are surprisingly powerful and delightfully portable magnifiers that work well with ambient daylight. Carry them in your pocket, around the classroom, into the great outdoors!
With each kit, you also get a sheet of creative starter activities for exploring the world of small, with hints and techniques to help young naturalists make the most of their curiosity, and a Report Sheet for drawing and writing observations. But until you get your hands on some actual TOPS lenses, here's an activity that will give a shadowy suggestion of how much fun magnification can be! Then try a real TOPScope, and be wowed by the magnificent detail you'll see!
To make your TOPScopes from our kit, you'll provide
scissors, a hole punch, packaging tape, specimens, small jars and curious students. One kit with 3 magnifiers can occupy up to 3 students at a time.
