Our Book Policy

Please honor our copyright restrictions. TOPS is a small, nonprofit publisher, and book sales are our life blood. The essence of our license to copy is ONE BOOK, ONE TEACHER. And so we ask individual teachers to purchase their own copies of each title, and not "loan" them to colleagues with no compensation to TOPS. We sympathize with those who must buy out-of-pocket, and work to keep our Learning Systems cheap enough to make this possible. Gifting an unused book, of course, is OK. (We exempt homeschoolers from the letter of this law, but ask that they respect its spirit, and send us contributions for value received.)

Schools or districts may ASSIGN this license to copy any individual book to any ONE teacher per school year. It may NOT assign this single book license to multiple teachers to share or use in succession during the same school year.

QUANTITY DISCOUNTS:

Please order multiple books according to the number of teachers who will use them. These discounts apply:

• 2-9 books of same title: 90% of current catalog price.
• 10+ books of same title: 80% of current catalog price.

Schools may also purchase single titles, plus photocopying or printing rights for multiple classroom use. Specify your intentions when you order, and we will send written permission:

• 2-9 book licenses: 70% of current catalog price.
• 10+ book licenses: 60% of current catalog price.
