Time-Saving Support

Support kits are now offered for several titles. We do the hunting and gathering, you save the time.

We offer both Starter Kits (for up to 4 students) and Class Kits (up to 30 students) for a few of our titles. Kits do NOT include books unless stated otherwise; please order books separately.

#10 Analysis

Supported by kits that include sublimed sulfur, alum, baking soda, corn starch, salt, sugar, sand, cleanser, garden lime, aspirin tablets, seltzer tablets, ascorbic acid, ammonia, vinegar, iodine, aluminum foil, waxed paper, candles, read and blue litmus paper, masking tape, 10 mL graduated cylinders, eye droppers/bottles, clothespins, bottle caps, index cards, straight pins. (You supply Bunsen burner or hotplate or warm radiator, lab balances [see #05 Weighing, above], purple cabbage, can of beets.)

#23 Rocks and Minerals

Support kits include sand with mica, sea shells, granite, basalt, hydrochloric acid, Epsom salts, sugar, salt, pepper, chalk, candles, masking tape, modeling clay, pie tins, microscope slides, eye droppers, test tubes, 100 mL graduated cylinders, film canisters, lids, marbles. (You supply pliers, brick, egg cartons, safety goggles, pocket calculator, tubs, plus simple everyday materials.) A lab balance is needed for a couple of activities (which can be skipped): see Weighing #05 above for a suitable, inexpensive, student-build gram balance.

Support kits include batteries, bulbs, masking tape, aluminum foil, paper clips, rubber bands, index cards, clothespins, steel wool, straight pins, balloons. (You supply scissors, pennies, and paper punch.)

#33 Magnetism

Support kits include batteries, thin and thick copper wire, paper clips, straight pins, aluminum foil, thread, masking tape, clear tape, styrofoam cups, index cards, plastic cups, permanent marker, mails, washers, clothespins, modeling clay, rubber bands, manilla folders, rice grains. (You supply scissors, pennies, paper punch, glass jars, staples.)

#71 Primary Lentil Science and #72 Intermediate Lentil Science

Extensive programs with lengthy lists of support materials. Let someone else gather and prepare the more complicated items for you! Teachers who start collecting their own usually tell us in hindsight they wished they had ordered the kits along with the books.

We supply a corrugated cardboard job box, with all assorted plastic vials cut to correct size (you will label), baby food jars, sifting screens, bottle connector, magnets, bottle caps, BBs, craft sticks, and lentil scooper. The Intermediate and Combo kit also includes a test tube and counting grid. (You supply lentils, bean mix, assorted containers, liter bottles, plus other recyclables and simple materials like scissors, glue, string, rocks.) This Job Box program serves up to 2 students working together; order extra basic kits to accommodate more children working at the same time (one reproducible book serves any number of students). Larger quantities of lentils and job boxes are also available below.

#73 Get a Grip Workstation

Our newest-generation Job Box program. No prep, no gathering needed; just open the box of simple stuff, pour in the lentils, and review the Teacher's Guide while your students joyfully dig in.
